Shots to GO

Shots to GO is a new project that I am working on that consists of two parts: photo and video. Shots to GO is heavily inspired by my favourite Hiphop artist, KOTA The Friend, where he raps over samplers and drums in short videos of just over a minute or two.

 

The photos will be styled in a magazine format, where each episode is a new model, a new location and a new styling. This magazine style format has been heavily inspired by Dominic Dimagmaliw, a photographer I look up to.

The videos are designed and edited after KOTA The Friend’s music videos released on YouTube, where simple frontal shots flood the screen and lyrics in the familiar yellow tint appears underneath. Made to be a simple highlight video that sums up the process of the shoot, it is in a few ways a trailer for the photos that will come out shortly after.

Shots to GO is a series that is made to last for many episodes that will come out throughout the years, whenever I am free and able to explore the limits of his creativity.
